New Holland is located in Eastern Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The town was founded in1728 and the borough was incorporated in 1895. The name "New Holland" was given to the town by the early settlers because the inhabitants were so kind and helpful. It reminded them of the treatment they received as refugees in the Netherlands when they were on their way to settle in this country. Today the borough is made up of a mixture of large businesses, plus numerous small business and professionals. The surrounding area is comprised of farmland and many small enterprises.
